So I'm finally posting 4th of July pictures (a little bit late). We usually go boating every year, but this year we didn't end up doing that. I told Derek I wanted to go on a hike or something... he wasn't to interested. Luckily some of our friends called and wanted to do the same thing- so he had to say yes! But instead of a hike we decided to go up to that rock water slide up in alpine. Notice all the young kids doing it behind us... Oh well it was fun- plus I've always wanted to see what it was- since I'd heard about it before. Pretty sure the water was -10 degrees.

Later that evening we went to a BBQ with my family, but had to leave early to go to stadium of fire. Why wouldn't we spend the 4th of July watching Miley Cyrus with all the other 10-14 yr old girls? Derek's family all had tickets. He didn't seem to enjoy it quite as much as me and my little sister did- oh well.. he was a good sport for being there!

Other then that we haven't been up to a whole lot besides this:
(i've yet to be able to get much air- but it's my goal for this summer.. coming slowly but surely)
Derek would kill me for putting this picture up (actually it really isn't great of either of us..) Like his farmer tan? Yeah, we can thank golf for that- he's yet to be able to fix it. (Just shows you how often he goes golfing!)

Jess, looks like fun...I think I'm going to have to try out that water slide, and I like that you're ten by the way...
That slide looks amazing? What are the exact coordinates of this waterfall? I would like to hang out with jr high kids as well... and watch Miley Cyrus with them. Ok- the last part was a lie.
I do have to say that I am pretty jealous of your fourth of July extravaganza...ours was pretty lame. I always wanted to try out that waterslide, and as for camping, all I have to say is, bring it on! If you would like another opprotunity to "practice" we will understand...
We are totally jealous of the Miley Cyrus thing... Wes has a little crush!! I have never heard of the rock slide... sounds like fun!! Call us for dinner!

So funny story... Wes went during work with some buddies to that slide thing, and almost got sent to jail and a $1000 ticket. Apparently it's illegal!! HA
